Is there a natural deodorant that works?

We all have heard about how aluminum in deodorant is bad for us. I’ve been searching for an aluminum free deodorant that works for me for years. Every time I see a recommendation or an award given to a natural deodorant-I buy it.

My search has come up fruitless-I am a sweaty lady. Aluminum is typically the antiperspirant ingredient in deodorant. When I have tried aluminum free products, I start sweating immediately and then, I smell. No one wants to smell.

Recently, I have been on the hunt again. I tried out three different products and will list them below, as well as their results. They are all aluminum and paraben free.

Lavanila Sport Luxe smells like fresh laundry and I saw a YouTuber recommend this one with raving reviews. This goes on nicely and smells great. It worked for most of the morning but once I was out and about…not so much. I was smelly within about 4 hours. Like body odor smelly and kind of gross. For me-a miss

Jason Calming Lavender Deodorant Stick was recommended by my Aunt Sandra, who lives in Florida (hot and humid) so I had to try this one next. This smelled great but was super slimy when I put it on. My underarms felt wet immediately. Which did not feel great. Within an hour I straight up smelled! Again, another fail.

This is where I start telling my friend Stella about my quest. She immediately tells me our friend Kim tried one recently that she was loving. Kim confirmed this the next time I saw her by immediately letting me smell her. This was a hot day and her confidence spoke volumes. I went home and hopped online to buy it.

Native Deodorant Coconut & Vanilla was next. I grabbed a coupon code for this online and they do free shipping (even on one stick) so it was about $10.20. I went with the coconut and vanilla because it was the most popular and the one Kim bought. This smells like the beach and summer-so good!

My first day wearing this, I sweated slightly but never got smelly. I could still smell the scent of Coconut and Vanilla when I went to bed. On day 2 I had to put this guy to the test, Lex and I walked 2 miles in 80 degree weather and spent an hour and a half at the park. Still fresh. Now, I’ve been wearing it for a few weeks and not one smelly day. I traveled with only the Native Deodorant to Tennessee last week and it held up in 80 degree weather with humidity. I love this deodorant!

Finally I found a natural deodorant that really works for me! This is my new everyday deodorant and I actually feel like I sweat and smell less than I did with conventional deodorant.
