Toddler Valentine’s Day Haul

My love language is gifts and typically you tend to give what you like to receive. In other words, I love giving gifts. For holidays, I always like to do little things for my kiddo.

My mom always made a big deal out of the holidays and those are some of my favorite memories. I have continued the tradition with Lex. It makes me happy to see him excited to get a surprise.

This year, he had Valentine’s Day pajamas from Carter’s and a Snoopy and Woodstock shirt from Target for school today.

In his surprise, he received 2 Valentine’s books (Elmo Loves You and Happy Love Day Daniel Tiger), a new cup, a small box of chocolates, and a Lush bath bomb. He pulled every item out slowly and looked at it before he ran to put each thing “somewhere safe.”

I also packed him a Valentine’s Day lunch complete with heart shaped veggie straws. He was so excited to go to school and continue the fun of the day with activities and a party.

This isn’t all about him-I also had him draw pictures in Valentine’s to our friends and family. He loved it. It’s his way to show everyone how much they mean to him as well.

I know to some this all may seem excessive but to me it’s one way to show Lex how special he is to me. Seeing him smile is pretty much everything to me!
